Dante Russo, born and raised near Pittsburgh, PA, has over twenty (20) years of insurance experience in Greenville, South Carolina. Dante’s insurance career began as a sales representative for Liberty Mutual where he earned multiple awards and recognition for sales volume. In 2008, Dante was instrumental in launching SC Insurance Brokers where he has spent 12 years successfully growing the business.
Dante is dedicated to the Greenville community and takes pride in his service on numerous volunteer boards and committees. Dante chaired the Greenville Arena District Board of Trustees (owner of Bon Secours Wellness Arena) from 2016 until 2022. He's been an active member since 2010 and currently serves as Vice-Chair. Dante is also an active member of the Poinsett Club and is currently serving a three year term on the Board of Governors. Since 2006, Dante has served in numerous roles for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
Previously, Dante’s community efforts have included Treasurer of his HOA board (2014-2020), Greenville County Sherriff’s Office Hiring Board (2017-2018), Leadership Greenville’s Alumni Board (2012-2016), Clemson University’s Small Business Development Center’s Advisory Board (2012-2015), Greenville Children’s Hospital Advisory Council (2011-2014), Greenville Chambers’ PULSE advisory board (2010 & 2011), group leader in PULSE’s Pace-Setters mentoring program (2009 & 2010), Greenville County’s Safety Coalition (2007-2011), Greenville County’s “Get Buckled” committee (2007-2011), and was chairman of the social and recruitment committee for Greenville Main Street Kiwanis (2007-2009).
Dante was voted the “Best Insurance Agent in the Upstate” six times by the Greenville News readers, most recently in 2024. In 2023, Dante was given the Travelers Insurance "STAR" (Superior Travelers Agent Recognition) award for South Carolina. In May 2017, Dante became a graduate of Greenville City Police Department’s Citizens Academy class. In 2016, Dante was awarded Young Professional of the Year by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. In 2012, Dante completed the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Leadership Greenville program and is a class 38 graduate. Dante was selected as one of “Greenville’s Best & Brightest under the age of 35” by Greenville Magazine in 2009. Dante also completed the St. Francis Forum and is now a St. Francis Fellow.
Dante holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Outside of his career and community involvement, Dante loves spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys staying very active and watching his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams. Here we go!
